4-5 The New Zealand Tour North Island: Wellington for a day

After a nice sleep and an amazing view of the city while the sun was coming up, Thor and I woke up slowly from the cold ocean air to check out the city in the light for the first time. We got some food at a New World grocery store and snuck into the YHA hostel across the street for the use of a kitchen. After that monkey business we checked out the local Te Papa free entry museum that has free wifi included. The museum was amazing and has four levels of art to learning things about the earth as well. We came, saw, used the wifi, and headed out to see what Wellington as a city had in store. Stopping at a near information center, we found, from a very nice resident, that there's a great lookout on top of Victoria mountain top with a 360 degree view, a cake looking old parliament building, and the museum we had already seen. The lookout was spectacular, the parliament building was very cool with an interesting message, and the rest of the city was just like another meh city.
After the sight seeing we headed back to YHA for another sneak attack shower power and charged up some electronics. Once everything was a 100% we heard someone talking about the sunset and knew where the best spot was so we cruised up the hill to a freezing top. While jittering away the sun finally went down and I got some stunning panoramas thanks to the photosynth app and then we were on our way in a hurry for some heat from the car. We then headed out to find a place to sleep in a quiet neighborhood before the departing of our journey together by an early 530am airport drop off. We woke up to a really cold morning and said our goodbyes with the hope of seeing each other again in the future.

Bye for now...

Some thoughts:

You'll find me starring at a monument that says: "These laid the world away poured out the red sweet wine of youth gave up the years to be of work and joy and that unhoped serene that men call age and those who would have been their sons they gave their immortality", and when reading it opens my mind to that not only the United States loosing soldiers but even people from the far south east island of the world. My heart beats mortality every minute while my brain believes my body is immortal and although I have never been to war I still feel for those who have for which if I had to do the same I would gladly participate.
We are mortal and what we do on this earth is only a millipede of time so don't waste your time here but make something for the next generation to look up at.
